Description

• This is a multifaceted role, working with both trading and exchange systems within the firm. • The main focus will be to provide and enhance systems to support the internal trading desk, as well as provide support for other systems within the firm as deemed appropriate. • A solid background in financial systems is required (traditional or crypto), with exposure to Algos preferred.

Requirements

• 5+ Years of Java development experience. • Understanding of threading models, JVM memory management and optimization. • Experience integrating with REST and Websocket APIs. • Following TDD/BDD methodologies and clean coding practices. • Comfortable working with developer tools such as GIT, Jira and Confluence. • Familiar with automated build, test and deployment pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions). • Strong problem-solving skills and a confident communicator. • Ability to work independently and comfortably to tight schedules. • Have worked in a fintech environment • Algorithmic trading experience • Exposure to big data - specifically Postgres/RDS databases • Experience developing distributed components which communicate over middleware solutions such as ChronicleQueue, NATS, Kafka, TibCo and LBM. • Experience developing in Python. • Cloud technologies such as docker and k8s, as well as exposure to AWS • Understanding of logging, metrics and tracing concepts using tools such as Splunk, ELK stack, Lightstep and TICK stack.
