Description
• Maintain, improve, and scale our existing infrastructure (both data center and cloud services) to meet growing demands. • Oversee Mac-based and Linux-based build infrastructures alongside network infrastructure. • Champion automation to enhance efficiency and minimize manual intervention. • Proactively monitor infrastructure performance and identify potential issues to prevent customer impact. • Handle incidents effectively and conduct thorough post-mortems to prevent recurrence. • Develop systematic procedures for troubleshooting and maintenance. • Refine deployment practices to enhance quality and velocity. • Exhibit the ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate across teams. • Thrive in leading projects and project teams to drive innovation and achieve our mission. • Work closely with various teams within the company, representing them internally and externally. • Document and share knowledge across the engineering department, promoting a culture of learning. • Plan and execute work in an iterative, agile manner.
Requirements
• At least 7 years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or in a similar engineering role. • In-depth understanding of L2-L7 networking, networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP), and services (e.g., DNS, VPN). Experience with configuring firewalls, IPSec tunnels, routing, cloud networking, DHCP, etc. • Proficient in Linux administration, including scripting (Bash, Python). • Proven experience in defining and deploying infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible. • Proficient in setting up and leveraging Continuous Integration systems for process automation. • Proficient with Google Cloud or other cloud service platforms. • Skilled in configuring and utilizing system monitoring tools. • Expert in managing source code with Git. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in an international, agile-focused team environment. • Experienced in shaping and guiding technical practices within teams. • A strong belief in our mission and a commitment to driving it forward, not just seeking a job for the sake of it.
