Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications and services that support the Blumira data processing, storage, and detection mechanisms. • Support infrastructure issues with your fellow engineers and improve automation around internal issue detection and response. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. • Lead projects and convert high-level requirements into iterative, deliverable pieces. • Develop proof-of-concepts to influence estimates, architecture, and design. • Participate in code reviews to facilitate good coding practices and testing coverage. • Help identify and reduce technical debt.

Requirements

• Proficient in designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend applications, services, and APIs using Python, Go, or Java. • Experience with web frameworks such as Flask and implementing thoughtful RESTful API design • Experience writing high-performance services leveraging standard libraries and practices. • Expertise in working with SQL (e.g. PostgreSQL) and No SQL (e.g. Redis) databases. Good understanding of data modeling, schema design, and optimization techniques. • Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure • Familiar with git, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging tools. • Motivation and a strong work-ethic - you enjoy building things that matter, getting stuff done, and helping people • Experience with increasing code test coverage • 6+ years of experience in software engineering.
