Description
• Assist in support and maintenance of database systems, primarily Microsoft SQL Server and AWS Postgres Aurora. • Enhance performance, security, scalability, availability, and reliability of databases. • Aid in design and management of database schemas and optimize SQL queries. • Troubleshoot and diagnose database issues and participate in incident response activities. • Support standardization of observability practices for database telemetry, logs, and events. • Assist in an on-call rotation to support critical database systems.
Requirements
• Up to 5+ years of relevant industry experience or a strong academic background in computer science or related fields. • Basic experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or other major RDBMS database systems. • Exposure to maintaining, analyzing, and debugging systems on major cloud platforms such as AWS. • Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Unix Shell, or Python. • Basic experience with NoSQL database systems. • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Kubernetes.
