📋 Description
• Position Summary: We are Seeking a dedicated Senior Database Developer will be responsible for optimizing and enhancing database performance within the Statewide Education Data System (SEDS). • The developer must have extensive experience in performance tuning of stored procedures, materialized views, and complex queries to minimize SGA/PGA/TempSpace usage. • Proficiency in indexing strategies, partitioning, and parallel execution is crucial. • Working within an Agile SDLC framework, the developer will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate ETL processes, efficient data transformations, and optimized reporting for Texas’s 1200 school districts. • Strong documentation, unit testing, and debugging skills using tools like SQL Trace, TKPROF, and AWR/ASH reports are essential.
🎯 Requirements
• Expertise working with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL (advanced concepts such as bulk collect, handling data in JSON/XML format) • Expertise with writing complex Oracle queries and optimizing them to reduce SGA/PGA/TempSpace usage • Proficient in storing, querying, manipulating JSON data in Oracle database tables • Proficient in creating complex queries and views using data stored in JSON format • Proficient in optimizing performance of stored procs and views accessing data stored in JSON format • Documentation skills • Dev/Unit Testing • Agile development
