• Partner with Firm leadership to manage PCS client relationships • Assess and identify compliance needs of the client • Coordinate, plan, and schedule workflow for effective engagement management • Review tax returns: individual (1040), estate (1041) and some partnership (1065) tax returns • Review tax computations, workpapers, and tax entries • Proactively identify new and additional service opportunities and offer recommendations • Delegate tasks to appropriate members of the PCS team • May be authorized to sign tax returns in the course of this role • Manage year-end planning and quarterly tax estimates • Oversee processes addressing IRS or State Taxing Authority notices • Delegate and oversee the initial preparation and set-up of client files • Research tax laws and offer guidance on tax technical issues • Initiate and manage client communications • Collaborate cross-departmentally to gather information and resolve client matters
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related degree • CPA Licensure • 4+ years of progressively challenging Public Accounting experience • Solid track record of career achievements and work quality • Individual tax return preparation and review experience (Business returns a plus) • Strong computer skills and proficiency in various accounting and other software, including Microsoft Office Suite • Strong knowledge of Internal Revenue Code, tax law, and tax processes • Ability to creatively solve problems and analyze client data • Ability to effectively delegate, supervise, and review work of less experienced staff • Ability to be flexible to changing circumstances and client needs
