📋 Description
• CACI is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) for our US Air Force Cloud One Enterprise Application Modernization and Migration contract. • Manage and optimize database systems as part of our cloud migration and modernization efforts. • Design, implement and maintain database systems in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP). • Lead database migration efforts from on-premises to cloud platforms. • Optimize database performance, structure, and scalability for cloud-based operations. • Implement and manage database security measures, including access controls and encryption. • Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies for cloud-based databases. • Monitor database system health, performance, and capacity. • Troubleshoot database issues and perform root cause analysis. • Collaborate with application teams to optimize database designs and queries. • Implement and maintain database high availability and disaster recovery solutions. • Stay current with emerging database technologies and cloud-native database services. • Provide support for database definition, design, structure, documentation, upgrades, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and protection. • Support database application integration. • Maintain database support tools, database tables, and dictionaries. • Perform database recovery and back-up procedures. • Work collaboratively with customers, business analysts, developers, system testers, and end-users in a fast-paced, agile environment.
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • 7+ years of experience as a Database Administrator. • Strong expertise in relational database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL). • Experience with cloud-based database services (e.g., Amazon RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL). • Proficiency in SQL and database performance tuning. • Experience with database migration tools and strategies. • Knowledge of database security best practices and compliance requirements. • Familiarity with DevOps practices and database automation tools. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams. • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
