📋 Description

• Lead the architectural design for modernizing and migrating legacy applications to cloud environments. • Develop and maintain the overall technical vision and roadmap for application modernization efforts. • Create high-level product specifications and design documents for cloud-based solutions. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions. • Evaluate and recommend appropriate cloud services and technologies for modernization efforts. • Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures that meet performance and compliance requirements. • Oversee the implementation of cloud-native design principles and microservices architectures. • Ensure the integration of security and compliance measures throughout the modernization process. • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of professionals and managers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement for a large organization of software development professionals. • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry best practices.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. • 10+ years of experience in systems architecture or software engineering. • 5+ years of experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI). • Strong understanding of application modernization strategies and cloud migration methodologies. • Experience with microservices architecture, containerization, and serverless computing. • Proficiency in at least one cloud platform's services and best practices. • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to various audiences. • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. • Experience with Agile development methodologies would be nice to have. • DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+) or higher would be nice to have. • Experience working in a DoD environment would be nice to have. • Experience with Air Force testing or application development would be nice to have.
