• Develop and/or recommend architectural or programmatic designs to meet mission user requirements. • Coordinate with the project manager and program stakeholders on matters such as solution planning, requirements, design, development, testing, release, and maintenance. • Responsible for application design, coding, unit testing, debugging and documentation. • Actively participate in planning activities, artifact creation, development, testing, reviews, and demonstrations. • Analyze, review, and rewrite applications to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements. • Enact a security-first approach towards software development to minimize cybersecurity vulnerabilities. • Analyze application-related problems and creating innovative solutions involving, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools, and solution components. • Work with a team in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Must possess and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. • Possess a Bachelor’s degree and minimum seven (7) years of related work experience in software engineering. • If no degree, then minimum of eleven (11) years of related experience in software engineering. • Experience with DoD application software development using modern development languages (C#/.NET) and standardized RDBMS applications (T-SQL). • Experience with Microsoft-based design and coding best practices. • Experience following established Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and procedures. • Strong collaboration and multi-tasking skills. • Strong verbal/written communication skills. • Ability to work well in a team environment. • Possess and maintain DoD 8570/8140 Cybersecurity Workforce IAT Level II or higher certification (ex. CompTIA Security+).
