β€’ Position Overview: We are looking for an extension of our team on a full-time, long-term basis. β€’ The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping, client-facing roles, and preparing tax returns. β€’ This dual-role position combines high-level expertise in tax compliance and planning with bookkeeping responsibilities to ensure the financial accuracy and efficiency of the organization. β€’ The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and adept at handling complex tax matters while managing day-to-day financial operations. β€’ Key Responsibilities: β€’ Tax Accounting: β€’ Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and non-profits. β€’ Research and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, providing recommendations to optimize tax positions. β€’ Assist in tax planning and forecasting strategies for clients or the organization. β€’ Handle audits and communicate with tax authorities as needed. β€’ Identify tax-saving opportunities and ensure compliance with all tax filings. β€’ Bookkeeping: β€’ Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. β€’ Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts. β€’ Maintain general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded. β€’ Generate financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. β€’ Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes. β€’ Work with external auditors and ensure compliance with internal financial policies. β€’ Collaboration & Advisory: β€’ Partner with clients, management, or stakeholders to provide financial insights and recommendations. β€’ Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.

🎯 Requirements

β€’ Bookkeeping experience (including client-facing responsibilities). β€’ Tax Return Preparation experience (CCH Tax knowledge is a plus). β€’ QuickBooks Online experience (required; advanced proficiency preferred). β€’ Drake Tax software knowledge is not essential but would be a nice-to-have. β€’ Ability to work with clients directly, providing support and communication in a professional manner. β€’ Semi-Senior level preferred, though not an entry-level position. We are open to candidates who are eager to learn and grow in the role. β€’ Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
