Description
• CALSTART is a mission-driven organization focused on transportation decarbonization and clean air for all. • As our Backend Web Developer, you will develop server-side logic and database management. • Collaborate to deliver high-quality digital products by integrating user-facing elements with logic. • Maintain back-end components and services with clean, scalable, efficient code while ensuring performance and reliability.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) and 2-3 years' experience as a Backend Developer or similar role. • Proficiency in server-side programming languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, or Node.js and experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). • Familiarity with PHP and JavaScript (WordPress website integrations) RESTful APIs, web services, and knowledge of cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker) as a plus. • Experience with agile development methodologies and an understanding of security protocols and data protection measures.
