Description
• Analyze and resolve professional coding complaints and denials. • Collaborate with Customer Service and Coding team. • Develop standardized coding processes to improve rejections. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding standards and guidelines. • Provide statistical reports on rejection/denial trends. • Ensure compliance with Medicare and Medicaid coding requirements.
Requirements
• Coding Associate (CCA) certification or similar required. • Advanced training beyond High School in Medical Coding Specialist. • Typically requires 5 years of professional coding experience, with 3 years in payer background. • Advanced knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines. • Excellent analytical and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently while making decisions.
