Description

β€’ The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting the pharmacist team in the provision of medication management services. β€’ Assist with clinical services, such as medication reconciliation, prior authorization, refill authorization, etc. β€’ Assist with MTM services, including, but not limited to the following: patient outreach, scheduling, medication review prep, and document creation. β€’ Assist with staffing services including order triaging, phone call answering and other duties as assigned by the Clinical Services Management team. β€’ Assist pharmacists through queue monitoring, data entry and prescription transcription in Pharmacy Information Systems, submit insurance claims, transferring prescriptions in accordance with applicable laws, etc. β€’ Support pharmacist provision of telephonic and/or video-telehealth medication management services. β€’ Collect information for patient encounters (e.g. allergy history, medication history). β€’ Contact patients using audio or video technology, often times cold calling, to reconcile medication lists, collect allergy and medical conditions, as well as obtain other pertinent information. β€’ Contact medical providers, nurses, health educators, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to support the provision of medication management services.

Requirements

β€’ High speed internet connection through cable broadband or fiber optic service provider β€’ Current National Pharmacy Technician Certification, required β€’ Completion of formal Pharmacy Technician educational program, preferred β€’ Minimum, possession of a high school diploma or equivalent β€’ Experience with Medication Reconciliation, preferred β€’ Experience with Medication Therapy Management, preferred β€’ Experience with prescription data entry, preferred β€’ Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills β€’ Effective communications skills, both written and verbal β€’ Strong IT and troubleshooting experience β€’ Proficiency with office technology tools, to include MS Office 2000 or later (esp. Excel, and Word), and Google G-Suite
