📋 Description

• This is a permanent, exempt, position that will be reporting to the Director, Controller. • Key Capture Energy (“KCE”) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. • The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and assisting with monthly close processes. • This individual will be responsible for preparing accurate financial statements, supporting internal and external audits, and providing financial analysis to drive business decisions. • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP. • Assist in the preparation of management reports and financial forecasts. • Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and complete. • Create all journal entries and other adjustments. • Oversee the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations. • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and working papers. • Assist with the preparation of tax returns (e.g., sales tax, income tax, and other local taxes). • Support tax audits and compliance-related inquiries. • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices. • Work with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting efficiency and accuracy. • Analyze financial data and prepare reports that provide insight into the company’s financial performance. • Support budgeting and forecasting activities. • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting. • All other duties as required

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or other professional certification preferred) • 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with a strong background in general ledger, financial reporting, and reconciliation. • Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems; proficiency with NetSuite and familiarity with Workday Adaptive Planning and Quick Books preferred. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling). • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and tax laws. • Experience with IFRS is a plus. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. • High level of accuracy and attention to detail. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders. • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment. • Strong organizational and time-management skills
