Description

• Identify, define, and document Carrum’s core business logic • Build and maintain data models and data marts, and write automated tests to monitor and ensure data is high quality, complete, and certified fresh • Document and evangelize the adoption of this foundational data for strategic decision making • Formalize processes for change management and version control • Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements, then partner with other engineering teams to make it happen • Work closely with data scientists to support machine learning and advanced analytics • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data and analytics engineering • Be responsive to the needs of stakeholders with sometimes very tight turn-around requirements while looking to build scalable tools to further Carrum’s growth objectives

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering and/or analytics engineering and a degree in a quantitative discipline, or 10+ years of relevant experience with a proven track record of delivering successful analytics solutions • Deep expertise in SQL, dbt, python, and software development best practices • Experience with dashboarding tools like Tableau, Looker, and/or Sisense • A strong grasp of data warehousing, scheduling, data modeling, and data quality • An innate curiosity, an eye for detail, and excellent problem-solving and analytical skills • The ability to work independently and as part of a team coupled with strong communication skills, both written (documentation and comments) and verbal • A relative comfort with ambiguity and a mission driven mindset which makes you proactively seek to make things more smooth and scalable, rather than waiting for a solution to be dictated • An entrepreneurial spirit and an ability to innovate and solve problems creatively and strategically • Knowledge of healthcare tech industry and medical and pharmacy claims as a strong plus • A passion for Carrum Health’s mission to make healthcare more affordable and consumer-centric, one bundle at a time
