• FilmFreeway is seeking a Senior Ruby Engineer • Build and optimize user-focused product • Work on entire system including feature development, reliability, infrastructure, maintenance • Partner with product and customer support teams to design new features • Guide technical decisions and provide code reviews • Your work will impact a fast-growing community

Requirements

• Demonstrated prior experience leading feature development • Strong project management skills • Familiarity with project management software such as JIRA • 8+ years of experience working with Ruby on Rails • Demonstrated ability to create and improve well-architected, readable code • Deep knowledge of the standard Ruby library • Experience upgrading Ruby on Rails (RoR) between major versions • 4+ years of experience using ReactJS or a comparable frontend framework • Knowledge of responsive styling using CSS and preprocessors like SCSS and SASS • Experience with ElasticSearch and full-text indexing of content • Experience with caching solutions such as Memcached and Redis • Experience integrating with third-party payment solutions such as Stripe, PayPal, and Dwolla • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services • Experience managing Linux servers from “fresh install” to “running production stable” • Experience monitoring and managing the WAF firewall • Experience creating small utilities through AWS lambda or Cloudflare workers • Ability to implement automated testing of your code • Competency working with relational databases • Familiarity working with mass email systems such as Sendgrid • Experience writing both client and server side (Node.js) Javascript
