📋 Description

• Catalyze is rapidly accelerating the transition to renewable energy by making it easy and profitable to integrate smart energy resources into new and existing buildings and infrastructure. • As a national energy transition partner and independent power producer (IPP), we develop, construct, own, operate, and maintain integrated solar, battery storage, and electric vehicle (EV) charging assets for commercial and industrial customers. • We combine our proprietary technology, financial strength, and industry expertise to deliver standardized, yet configurable systems that meet our partners’ unique needs. • These offerings enable commercial and industrial property owners, operating companies, and their customers to extract greater value from their assets, take increased responsibility and ownership of their energy profile, and ultimately become part of the clean energy transition. • As we continue to grow and expand our solutions across the country, our team is shaping the future of renewable energy. • We are looking for passionate, collaborative, innovative thinkers who want to build a better future and do work that matters. • We are seeking a Project Engineer to oversee design of solar and storage for small/medium (< 20MW) ground mount projects.

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical engineering; other advanced degrees will be considered with relevant experience and demonstrated knowledge • 4+ years of experience in design of solar projects, including but to limited to: • Experience designing solar+storage projects and/or standalone storage projects • Experience with all engineering aspects of designing ground and roof mount solar PV for small/medium (< 20MW) projects • Experience with community solar projects • Experience with design/integration of EV charging a plus • A Professional Engineer, licensed in one or more of the following states: CA, TX, NY, MA, IL, VA, and ME, with preference for NY • Experience working with PV development processes, including land assessment, studies supporting discretionary permitting, identifying engineering and constructability issues early in the development process • Experience with engineering assessment/diligence as part of project acquisitions • Proficiency with Office tools, communication tools (Slack, Teams) and scheduling/construction management tools • Ability and willingness to travel as needed to support effective execution and collaboration with internal teams and contracted resources; depending on location, 20-40% of the time • Valid driver’s license and car insurance that meets or exceeds the minimum requirements of the state where you reside
