• CATF is seeking an Events Manager for a one-year contract to support the planning, execution, and management of events across Europe. • This role is critical in ensuring high-quality, strategically aligned events that enhance CATF’s visibility, support advocacy efforts, and foster engagement with key stakeholders, including policymakers, industry leaders, funders, and partners. • The Events Manager will collaborate closely with CATF’s Communications and Marketing, Advocacy, Development, and Program teams to deliver impactful events that support our mission. • Provides logistical support, including venue selection, contract negotiation, vendor coordination, catering, audiovisual setup, and travel arrangements. • Manages all pre-event, on-site, and post-event logistics, ensuring all details are executed effectively and professionally. • Gathers feedback from attendees, speakers, and stakeholders to assess the success of events.
• Minimum of 5 years of event planning and management experience, preferably in a nonprofit, advocacy, or policy-driven organization. • Bachelor's degree in event management, communications, public relations, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders. • Experience supporting event budgets and negotiating contracts. • Proficiency in event technology tools, including virtual event platforms and registration software. • Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in dynamic environments. • Experience working in an international organization with a good understanding of different cultural norms and practices. • Ability to thrive in a remote, multicultural team environment, work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. • Proactive and self-motivated with strong attention to detail. • Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities. • Experience organizing policy-related events, conferences, or workshops. • Familiarity with climate, energy, and environmental policy landscapes. • Proficiency in additional European languages is a plus. • Diplomatic protocol knowledge would be advantageous. • Passion for CATF's mission.
