📋 Description
• The position involves managing and maintaining Linux-based infrastructure, ensuring stability and performance. • Responsibilities include system maintenance, patching, and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues. • Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues using tools like Prometheus. • Apply Linux security best practices, including system hardening and compliance with security policies. • Develop and maintain automation and configuration management solutions (Puppet preferred, Ansible or similar tools also applicable). • Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize infrastructure for business needs. • Act as a technical resource for other engineers, providing guidance and mentorship. • Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. • Identify manual and legacy processes and work to implement automated solutions using scripting languages, configuration management, and orchestration tools. • Research, test, and implement new technologies to enhance infrastructure resilience, efficiency, and reliability.
🎯 Requirements
• 4+ years of experience managing enterprise Linux environments. • 2+ years of experience with configuration management tools like Puppet (preferred) or Ansible. • Strong technical aptitude, problem-solving mindset, and a passion for learning. • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with web servers and application servers (e.g., Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, or similar). • Experience administering MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other SQL databases in a production setting. • Understanding of Linux system security and best practices for hardening. • Experience with scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, or similar) and working with REST APIs. • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus. • Strong communication skills, with the ability to document processes and collaborate effectively. • Additional Qualifications: Experience with virtualization, F5 Load Balancers, and networking concepts. • A background in system architecture and high-availability infrastructure. • Exposure to software development practices, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
