Description

β€’ The CDC Foundation helps the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) save and improve lives. β€’ The Data Scientist will leverage data to inform strategic decisions in public health. β€’ Work with the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County's public health department. β€’ Develop interactive visualizations and dashboards using Power BI. β€’ Focus on building predictive models, data forecasting, and creating insights that guide public health strategies.

Requirements

β€’ Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Science, Statistics, Epidemiology, or related field. β€’ Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience. β€’ Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R. β€’ Experience with data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Pandas, NumPy). β€’ Knowledge of machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Scikit-learn). β€’ Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). β€’ Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. β€’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills. β€’ Experience working in a virtual environment with remote partners and teams.

Benefits

β€’ Salary Range: $92,700-$134,275 per year, plus benefits. β€’ Individual salary offers will be based on experience and qualifications unique to each candidate. β€’ Grant funded, limited-term opportunity. β€’ This position is eligible for a fully remote work arrangement for U.S. based candidates.
