Description

• The Molasses Flood is looking for a Senior AI Engineer to help us innovate and evolve our AI technologies. • The AI Engineer will be responsible for driving and implementing AI behaviors, as well as developing the core AI framework. • The systems you build will be fully transparent and usable by the artists and designers you work with, and will serve the ultimate goal of creating a great game and a great player experience. • The person in this role will report to the Lead Gameplay Engineer. • This role may be performed per our hybrid work model in the greater Boston area (Tues/Thurs in our office and Mon/Wed/Fri work from home), with relocation assistance available. • This role could also be performed remotely within the continental US and Canada, and according to US East coast core hours.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years game industry experience, with at least 3 of those specializing in AI programming. • Deep knowledge of common AI data structures, algorithms and patterns including behavior trees, blackboards, smart objects, etc. • Competence with C++ or a similar language. • Working knowledge of 3d mathematics. • The ability to communicate ideas clearly both verbally and written, and work collaboratively with design, art and production. • Curiosity, kindness, and a positive and professional can-do attitude. • Candidates must have a US or Canadian work permit or citizenship, depending on country location.
