📋 Description
• Play a pivotal role in Ciena's Global Tax and Trade team • Collaborate on diverse tax projects impacting global operations • Conduct in-depth research of domestic and foreign tax laws • Develop actionable recommendations for tax implications • Collaborate on global tax initiatives to support business goals • Maintain understanding of transfer pricing regulations • Support transaction due diligence and assess tax impacts • Partner with Finance and other departments for integrated decisions
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation required • MST, MBA, CPA, and/or JD certification is a significant plus • 5+ years of proven operational experience at a complex global enterprise or as a manager at a major accounting or law firm advising multinational organizations on tax matters • Expert proficiency in U.S. and international corporate tax rules, including transfer pricing, with specific experience in the high-tech/telecom industry • Strong experience in implementing tax technology solutions, automation, and transformation initiatives • Experience with international tax compliance, including BEPS and country-by-country reporting is highly desirable • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced tax research tools • Familiarity with Oracle, Workday, OneSource, CorpTax, Looker, Snowflake, Alteryx, and other tax technology automation tools is highly desirable
