Description

• Type of Position: Full-time, non-exempt • Team: Creative • Reports To: Senior Producer • Salary Range: $70,000 - $83,371 based on experience • Tier: Senior Associate • Tier Description: Work independently and manage work priorities with little guidance from manager; Project management with external stakeholders; Requires independent decision-making and substantial experience in the work or issue area. Intermediate level. • Minimum Role-Specific Experience: 3 years • Preferred People & Project Management Experience: 0 years • Location & Hours of Operation: Climate Power is a remote-first organization based in Washington, DC. This position can be located anywhere in the United States, but you must be able to work Monday - Friday, 9 am - 6 pm EST, plus weekends and evenings as the work dictates. • About Climate Power: Climate Power is an independent strategic communications and paid media operation focused on building the political will and public support for bold climate action. Requirements

• Three years of relevant prior work experience creating digital video assets, including motion graphics, at an issue-focused non-profit, political, or news organization. • Must work independently and collaboratively with diverse groups of people, communities, and partners. • Experience producing timely and compelling content to answer planned and unplanned rapid response scenarios. • Proficiency in Google Workplace, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and project management applications (like Asana, Monday, etc). • Demonstrable in applying and adhering to brand guidelines and understanding composition, typography, and color. • Strong understanding of the intersections between climate policy, politics, and the news cycle. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, keen attention to detail, and workflow organization. • Interpersonal skills, a sense of humor, and the ability to work well on and across teams. • A strong portfolio of digital video work.
