Description

• At Cloudera, we empower people to transform complex data into clear and actionable insights. • Cloudera advances digital transformation for the world’s largest enterprises. • Looking for an experienced content developer to create high-quality documentation. • You will lead and plan the technical documentation strategy for a group of products. • Drive content development and technical documentation initiatives. • Write a variety of technical documents including installation guides and user guides. • Partner with Product Designers to ensure workflows and concepts are clear. • Create videos to assist end-users with their use of Cloudera products. • Ensure technical content is validated for accuracy and published in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Proficiency in written English • Excellent writing and editing skills. • 7 or more years of experience writing installation guides, user guides, system administrator guides, or run books for technical audiences • Experience using an XML/DITA authoring tool such as Oxygen XML • Experience using GitHub • Knowledge of typical IT or data cluster job tasks • Knowledge of data warehousing use cases and technologies • Excellent communication and teamwork skills • Ability to be flexible and to adapt to changing responsibilities • Ability to learn new technical subject matter quickly • Ability to work as a self-starter • Ability to work across time zones with globally distributed teams • Experience documenting Cloud products • Experience with Python • Experience writing developer guides • Experience documenting management applications • Experience documenting SQL products • Experience using Linux (Red Hat Enterprise, Ubuntu, or SUSE) • Experience documenting or using open source products • Experience working in an agile-style development environment • Experience working with AI tools to boost efficiency and productivity • Writing samples and references are required.
