• Reporting to the VAT Compliance Team Leader, the VAT Compliance Assistant Team Lead is mainly responsible for the co-ordination of team tasks to ensure the team can meet all tax office deadlines and provide excellent customer service. • The VAT Compliance Assistant Team Lead is responsible for the supervision and mentoring of the VAT Compliance Reviewers, Preparers and Co-ordinators. • Location: Hungary or Bulgaria • Responsibilities: • Assist the team with more complex VAT issues that arise during the preparation of the returns; clients/TO requests, submission issues • Assist on client calls if needed to discuss more difficult or urgent cases. • Assist the TL with the team administrative tasks and management reporting. • Support and facilitate the introduction of process improvements and change within the team; Monitoring monthly error logs • Assist in the role out of performance management reviewers for new members of the team. • Assist in the training of new members of the team and ongoing training of the team in collaboration with the Senior VAT Manager for Knowledge and Training. • Collaborate and communicate with other team in relation to the streamlining of internal processes, sharing information and providing excellent customer service as #OneTeam. • Encourage and facilitate the role out of Comply onboarding within the team and provide suggestions/recommendations for improvements to the technology. • Act as a backup to the VAT Compliance Team Leader during any leave of absence. • Constantly work towards improvement of the professional knowledge required in order to successfully perform his / her duties • Tracking the received penalties, clarifying the reasons, escalating to the TL if necessary; Updating penalty tracker • TO letters distribution, record them in CRM, review and translate each letter, send it to the respective preparer and reviewer with a short explanation of what the letter referred to and dl for processing.
