Description

•As a Senior Search Engineer, you will be an integral part of our engineering team, focused on building and optimising search solutions that power our conversational commerce platform. •You will design and implement search algorithms that improve the relevance, accuracy, and speed of our chat interactions, ensuring that users get the best possible experience. •You will collaborate closely with product, data science, and engineering teams to build scalable, efficient search systems that handle massive volumes of data while delivering lightning-fast results.

Requirements

•5+ years of experience as a search engineer or in a related role. •Deep understanding of search engines, information retrieval, and ranking algorithms. •Strong proficiency with search technologies such as Elasticsearch, Solr, or Lucene. •Experience with Python and/or Java for building scalable backend systems. •Solid understanding of query parsing, indexing, and relevance tuning. •Familiarity with AI-powered search enhancements such as machine learning and natural language processing. •Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams. •Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. •English proficiency is a must. Conversational Japanese is nice to have.
