• Design and build Databricks & Azure-based technical solutions. • Act as a team lead on projects, directing the technology process. • Implement end-to-end data platform solutions for clients. • Manage client expectations regarding scope, cost, and timeline. • Serve as an effective technical mentor to junior teammates. • Deliver complex projects on time and within budget. • Expand knowledge of multiple tools and technologies. • Foster a problem-solving culture through collaboration. • Support internal objectives advancing data services design and techniques. • Support the Sales Team on pre-sales efforts to define scope estimates.

Requirements

• Over eight years of experience building data solutions on cloud platforms, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure and Databricks environments. • 4+ years of experience architecting data solutions on Databricks (any cloud) AND/OR Microsoft Fabric/Synapse. • Proficiency in creating data modernization roadmaps, leveraging deep technical knowledge of Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Microsoft Azure tools to meet complex business and IT needs. • Experience with data modeling applications such as Visio, ER/Studio, ER/Win, or similar. • Expertise in designing and implementing logical and physical data models specifically for cloud data warehouse environments like Fabric OneLake and Databricks Delta Lake. • Experience implementing modern data architectures that handle structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. • Multiple full life-cycle implementations of data platforms, including migrations to Azure Synapse/Fabric and Databricks, and designing data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks workflows, or equivalent tools. • Extensive hands-on data experience with: • Databricks for building scalable data warehouse, data pipelines and machine learning solutions. • Microsoft Fabric and Synapse / Microsoft Intelligent Data Platform for building scalable data warehouse, data pipelines and machine learning solutions. • One or more of the top industry ETL tools – Lakeflow, Azure Data Factory, Glue, Fivetran, Airflow, etc. • Experience with a number of Microsoft and other Data Tools: • Azure SQL Data Warehouse (DW) for large-scale data storage. • Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and related services for managing large data lakes and optimizing storage. • Azure Synapse Analytics vs. Azure SQL Server/DB for understanding appropriate loading and processing patterns. • Azure DevOps for source control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments in data projects. • Provisioning and configuring end-to-end Azure data services, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-efficiency. • Ability to drive results, consistently delivering data solutions that align with business objectives and timelines, leveraging Microsoft and Databricks tools. • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and presenting complex solutions to senior executives. • Experience in fast-paced environments, demonstrating confidence in client-facing situations, and excelling at managing dynamic project requirements and timelines. • Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership of project success, from solution design to implementation, ensuring high-quality outcomes on the Microsoft and Databricks platforms.
