Description

• Improve observability, reliability and availability by defining key metrics. • Build automation and improve systems to eliminate toil. • Collaborate with core infrastructure to optimize cloud deployments. • Reduce service disruptions and automate incident response. • Find and analyze reliability problems across business units. • Educate and hold engineering team accountable for system reliability. • Write high quality, well tested code. • Debug difficult technical problems. • Review feature designs for cross-cutting projects. • Own security, safety, scale, and operational integrity of designs. • Build pipelines to integrate with 3rd party vendors. • Participate in on-call support rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering. • Designed, built, scaled and maintained production services. • High quality, well tested code. • Passionate about an open financial system. • Strong technical skills for system design and coding. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong skills around observability, debugging and performance tuning. • Strong interpersonal skills working with engineers. • Demonstrated critical thinking under pressure. • Willingness to dive into any layer of the stack. • On-call availability outside regular business hours.
