Description
• Majority of role function will be dedicated to Group Therapy while also flexing into Primary Therapy. • Utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) as well as other evidence-based therapies • Meet with patients individually to assess progress and guide treatment planning • Coordinate care with patients’ individual providers to ensure continuity of care • Assess patients’ progress and need for higher level of care or discharge • Conducts assessments and consults with intake clinicians to aid in determining appropriateness of fit for patients • Communicate with patients’ family members or support system when indicated • Complete initial intake evaluations to determine diagnosis and appropriateness for program as needed • Chart in our electronic medical records system • Engage in crisis management as part of a treatment team • Create and update treatment plans • Participate in professional development activities • Lead group therapy sessions teaching DBT, CBT, and ACT skills
Requirements
• Hold the following licenses or certifications in the state of Illinois: LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, PsyD, or PhD with 2 + years of clinical experience conducting individual and/or group therapy • The ability to assist families and patients in talking about difficult topics is a necessity. • Excellent time management skills, ability to juggle multiple demands simultaneously in a fast paced and changing environment. • Skilled at providing therapy via virtual platforms: Zoom, Microsoft Teams • Values communication and teamwork • Align with the mission and values of Compass Health Center
