Description

• Compose.ly has partnered with a fintech solutions provider for a Senior Technical Writer role. • Work alongside the in-house team and stakeholders in a full-time temporary capacity. • Write superior API and SDK documentation. • Communicate complex information in an understandable way. • Collaborate closely with product engineering and other internal teams. • Produce industry-leading API and programming content adhering to style guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher (ideally in English, technical communications, computer science, or a similar field) • 3+ years of experience as a technical writer for a developer audience at an Agile software company • Proven experience writing detailed, user-centered API and programming documentation in a fast-paced environment • Outstanding ability to grasp and communicate interrelationships between topics clearly and meaningfully and to present hierarchical information in a logical and consistent manner • Advocating for user needs and backing your opinions with experience and facts • Experience with Markdown or another markup language, like HTML, and Swagger • One or more programming languages (Java, Go, Python, Typescript) and OpenAPI • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple focus areas and tasks • Faithfully adhering to documented standards and styles • Enthusiasm for cross-functional collaboration with people at all levels of an organization • Ability to work in US time zones (ideally Central Standard Time) • A strong writing portfolio to demonstrate some or all of these skills
