📋 Description

• As the Americas Indirect Tax Manager (Senior Tax Analyst), you will report to the Global Head of Indirect Tax to support the preparation of indirect tax returns in the United States of America (and wider Americas). • You will work with the global finance teams in Vilnius and Denver and external advisors to help Convera meet its Sales Tax, Use Tax, Personal Property Tax and have the opportunity to also widen your remit across Americas VAT & GST compliance obligations, whilst working with our accounting and business teams to advise on indirect tax matters affecting the Americas businesses. • You will work with a high level of collegiality, growing your technical knowledge of US, and North Americas indirect taxes and awareness of global tax systems. • Working with the wider finance team to collate the information needed to prepare Convera’s US indirect tax returns (Sales Tax, Use Tax, Person Property taxes etc.). • Learn to understand transfer pricing flows and how the operation of the se impact on Use Tax (and eventually reverse charge GST/HST mechanisms in North America). • Monitor and assist with tax payments and other tax administration adjacent to the monthly, quarterly, and annual indirect tax returns. • Ensure that any Sales & Use tax suffered by the business is appropriate and that any Direct pay certificates or Sales & Use Tax claims are made and maximised where applicable. • Learn & understand our accounting systems across AR and AP and how to get tax specific information from them. • Support the development of tax compliance functionality. • Contribute to the implementation of ongoing systems development and improvements, and automated tools that impact tax compliance. • Help collate information relating to US/Americas tax audits and respond to notices from tax authorities. • Research tax technical issues. • Assist in advising the business on tax matters- supported by the Global Indirect tax lead.

🎯 Requirements

• Familiarity with accounting standards and a degree in Business Management/ Finance / Accounting or a related topic or tax. • Minimum 4 years of financial accounting & tax experience. • Experience in the financial services market would be useful. • Good awareness of US Sales and Use Tax (especially in Denver & Colorado) • Knowledge of Personal property taxes and other indirect taxes preferred- but not essential. • Accounting knowledge to assist in calculating Sales/Use Taxes and tax accruals. • Proficiency in Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets and perform complex functions) to maximize the efficiency and accuracy of tax processes, reconciliations, and tax return preparation. • High attention to detail to complete projects and meet deadlines. • Experience of Oracle and FCCS would be useful but not essential. • Self-starter with ability to interact with multiple teams and external advisors. • Good level of spoken and written business English.
