And crafted with the passion that nourishes body and soul. • Unwilling to stop there, CookUnity is expanding beyond delivery to become an ever-innovating marketplace focused on our singular mission: empower Chefs to nourish the world. • The Revenue Engine Squad is responsible for the core systems and user experiences that power monetary transactions within CookUnity’s eCommerce marketplace, including pricing, payments, refunds, promotions, and the order finalization process. As part of the Marketplace Zone, the team plays a critical role in building a flexible and scalable financial infrastructure that evolves with the needs of our marketplace. • To support CookUnity’s growth, we are reimagining and elevating our revenue systems to be more scalable, intelligent, and adaptable. This is a unique opportunity to tackle complex engineering challenges, shape the future of our financial infrastructure, and have a direct impact on the evolution of a fast-growing marketplace. • We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Revenue Engine Squad in the Marketplace Zone. This role is ideal for an engineer with deep expertise in payment systems, payment processing, and service-oriented architecture. You will play a crucial role in designing and developing scalable, reliable backend systems that process millions of dollars in transactions. • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Marketing, Finance, and Legal, to build robust services that empower our marketplace. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to scale and improve our customer experience.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend development, with expertise in Kotlin, Java, and SQL databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL). • Strong knowledge of payment processing systems and experience integrating with third-party payment providers like Stripe, PayPal. • Experience designing and building scalable cloud-based architectures and distributed systems. • Expertise in service-oriented architectures, API design, and microservices development. • Strong knowledge of database design, implementation, and query optimization. • Experience with system performance monitoring, logging, and observability. • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code. • Advanced level of English with strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
