• Team Leadership: Mentor, coach, and develop a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines. • Technical Guidance: Provide technical direction and support throughout the development lifecycle, including architecture, design, and code reviews. • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to define requirements and deliver high-impact solutions. • Quality Assurance: Promote best practices in coding, testing, and documentation to ensure high-quality deliverables. • Performance Monitoring: Assess team performance and provide constructive feedback to facilitate growth and improvement. • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
🎯 Requirements
• 7+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years focusing on distributed/database systems • 2+ years of team leadership experience • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and Rust • Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts and challenges • Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.). • Experience designing and developing database systems, including distributed query processing and optimization • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and managing stakeholder relationships • Nice to have: Familiarity with Apache Arrow and its ecosystem • Experience deploying and operating services on Kubernetes • Experience with cloud storage systems (e.g. AWS S3)
