Description

• Design, develop, and implement data models and solutions • Conduct and facilitate analyses, issues identification, risk assessment, and decision-making processes • Prepare data, implement data models, and develop data management tools

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline and 7 years of professional and relevant experience (Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years may be substituted) • Experience serving as a data scientist on a complex technology implementation or data analytics project • Ability to lead larger teams and mentor other scientists • Strong expertise in applying pattern-recognition techniques to large structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sets • Technical expertise with data models, data mining, data cleansing, and segmentation techniques • Experience developing databases with Structure Query Language (SQL) • Development experience, with a focus on data manipulation and/or statistics, using one or more of these languages or applications: Python, R, SAS, Tableau, AWS • Proficient experience in both small and big data environments • Working knowledge of federal grant-making policies, procedures, and administration • Must be detail-oriented and think logically • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills • Ability to keep up with new business and technical concepts • Strong team leadership and risk management ability • US citizenship and the ability to pass public trust clearance or suitability
