Description

• Ensure compliance with federal regulations. • Manage contract accounting, including billings, cost pools, and cost submissions. • Prepare and analyze comprehensive financial statements, adhering to DoD accounting standards. • Accurately record and process a variety of financial transactions within the DFAS system. • Implement and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with DOD regulations. • Assist in budget planning and monitoring expenditures against allocated funds. • Perform internal audits to assess compliance with DoD financial policies. • Utilize DoD financial management systems to access and manipulate financial data. • Work closely with DoD stakeholders to provide financial support and resolve complex issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. • Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) certification is preferred. • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and DOD-specific accounting regulations. • Experience with complex financial management systems. • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
