Description
• Play a critical role in developing, enhancing, and maintaining Crossbeam’s backend systems with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability. • Consistently ship features and enhancements with guidance from team members. • Work across the full stack of the application, focusing on backend development. • Create, test, and deploy high-quality code with a focus on REST API development and backend services written in Clojure. • Leverage workflow orchestration tools to manage distributed backend workflows. • Monitor and improve the performance and reliability of backend systems. • Prioritize support issues reported by users or the Customer Success team. • Identify areas for improvement in the codebase and contribute to enhancements. • Collaborate closely with engineers and teams like Product, Growth, and Customer Success to launch new features. • Cultivate an environment where questions and discussions improve the team.
Requirements
• At least 2 years working in a professional engineering team. • Experience with backend frameworks (Clojure preferred). • Knowledge of modern frontend frameworks like Vue or React is a plus. • Strong understanding of building and working with REST APIs. • Experience with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL) or NoSQL databases like MongoDB. • Follow documentation best practices and strive for clean, maintainable code. • Enjoy working with product and design teams to deliver the best possible product. • Thrive in an environment that values diverse opinions and respectful collaboration. • Comfortable working remotely and collaborating asynchronously with a distributed team. • Embrace complex technical challenges and derive simple, effective solutions.
