📋 Description

• CrossFit seeks a highly skilled and experienced Head of Safety, Events to join our SPORT team. • This role will oversee the development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of safety protocols for the CrossFit Sport team throughout the year. • You will be primarily responsible for ensuring the highest safety standards across CrossFit competitions and event-related activities, with a special focus on the CrossFit Games. • This position will be responsible for CrossFit’s risk mitigation strategy and execution supporting the Sport season. • This role will work closely with a broad range of stakeholders—including athletes, staff, volunteers, and medical teams—to create seamless and safe event experiences. • This role will report jointly into GM of Sport Dave Castro and CEO Don Faul. • Responsibilities include overseeing event execution, safety communication, developing safety strategies and protocols, educating on best practices, continuous improvement, and being a safety liaison. • Knowledge and skills required include thriving in dynamic environments, strong analytical skills, exceptional communication skills, demonstrated leadership abilities, and commitment to safety.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in a safety management role within sports, fitness, or large-scale event management. • Extensive leadership and operational experience, leading large teams in dynamic environments. • Certifications: First Aid, CPR, and AED certification are required. • Additional certifications in safety management, risk assessment, or emergency response are highly desirable. • Flexibility to travel frequently and work evenings or weekends as necessary for event support. • A commitment to staying current with industry trends and best practices in sports safety.
