📋 Description

• Lead Sensor Development: Oversee the design, development, and integration of industrial-grade sensors for CROVER robots ensuring that they meeting user, industrial and compliance requirements, including among others meeting required accuracy and response time specifications. • Sensing Accuracy and Response Time: Develop and implement sensors that meet required accuracy and response time targets close or better than the current state of the art for measuring grain conditions across a wide variety of grain types. • System Integration: Ensure seamless integration of sensors with existing robotic systems, focusing on performance and reliability. • Lead sensor development projects from concept to deployment, including timelines, resources, and budgets. • Testing and Validation: Develop and implement testing protocols to validate sensor performance under various conditions. • Data Analysis: Analyze sensor data to improve accuracy, reliability, and overall system performance. • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and systems engineers, to ensure cohesive product development. • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of sensor designs, test results, and integration processes. • Act as the subject matter expert within the team around on topics related to grain sensing. • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in sensor technology and incorporate them into CROVER’s products.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in sensor development and integration, with a focus on industrial applications for sensing grain conditions, including moisture, CO2, temperature and more relevant grain parameters • Proven track record of leading grain sensor development projects from concept to deployment • Proficiency in sensor technologies, temperature, humidity and CO2 sensing, magnetic, IMUs, encoders, displacement sensors, and other state-of-the-art sensing technologies • Strong understanding of physics-based simulation techniques and data analysis tools • Experience with system-level electrical architecture and design • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues • Strong English written and verbal communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills • Experience working with international teams and in global markets • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements • Demonstrated eagerness to learn new skills and take on diverse tasks, fostering both personal and company growth
