• Explain complex U.S. tax concepts to both external and internal clients • Collaborate with other tax professionals to develop tax strategies that minimize global tax burdens for businesses and individuals with U.S. ties • Create practical, business-oriented solutions for client tax issues • Conduct research on U.S. tax matters affecting clients • Implement tax strategies by preparing analyses, memoranda, and filings • Provide litigation support, including representation before the IRS and state tax authorities • Deliver high-quality, timely, and responsive service to clients • Communicate changes in U.S. tax laws and apply new tax knowledge to ongoing projects • Assist with the preparation of U.S. federal and state tax returns for businesses and individuals • Contribute to the development and execution of the firm’s business strategy
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a major in Accounting • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or equivalent law degree • U.S. CPA and Canadian CPA designations • Experience in consulting within a public accounting or law firm • Ability to manage a flexible schedule and adhere to budget requirements • Strong written and verbal communication skills (English required; French is an asset) • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks • Proficiency with search engines, AI tools, and U.S. tax preparation software
