Description

• Covering the team's late shift by working until 7 or 8pm AEDT. • Maintenance and management of Windows Server OS platforms, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of server hardware and software, such as SAN systems, hypervisors, and backup systems. • Administration and maintenance of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. • Administration of virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V. • Provisioning and management of cloud-based resources, such as Azure. • Troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues. • Collaboration with other teams to ensure smooth operation of the IT environment. • Development and maintenance of system documentation and knowledge base articles.

Requirements

• Expertise in Microsoft Windows server operating systems, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS. • Proficiency in hardware and software configuration, installation, and administration in a Wintel environment. • Strong understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V. • Knowledge and experience of scripting languages such as PowerShell to automate tasks and improve system management. • Familiarity with server hardware technologies and configurations, including RAID, SAN, and NAS. • Several years of experience in Wintel systems engineering, including deploying and maintaining small to large-scale systems. • Experience with server migrations and upgrades, including hardware and software changes. • Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution, including backup and restore processes. • Demonstrated experience in configuring and administering various infrastructure technologies such as storage, databases, and middleware. • Familiarity with security concepts and protocols such as encryption, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. • Certifications in the above technologies are highly desirable
