β’ Own the annual budgeting process in conjunction with the CEO, senior leadership team, and accounting firm β’ Work with accounting firm and development team to ensure accurate organizational cashflow forecasting to inform decision-making β’ Work closely with our outside accounting firm to compile, analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner β’ Coordinate the financial audit process, working with external auditors and our accounting firm β’ Ensure multi-entity legal and tax compliance by partnering with the accounting and compliance team to ensure consistent bookkeeping and financial reporting best practices β’ Optimize systems to ensure timely processing of payroll, invoices, and reimbursements with accounting firm β’ Streamline processes for contract execution with external vendors β’ Effectively manage organizational systems including facilities, software, and equipment β’ Make recommendations for how to streamline operations based on organizational needs and work with the team to implement those changes β’ Create and update concise, user-friendly documentation for standard operating procedures and drive adoption of new systems
β’ A background in operations and budget management, with a track record of managing financial systems and budgets effectively in at least two roles previously β’ Ability to evaluate finances, reports, and tools effectively to enable decision making β’ A passion for creating systems, processes, and policies to make the work more efficient β’ Excellent project management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and remove barriers to implementation β’ A perspective on how to build adaptable systems and navigate change successfully as an organization grows β’ Experience rolling out user-friendly systems effectively, with the ability to clearly articulate processes and drive adoption across the team β’ Deep commitment to racial equity, with self awareness around privilege, bias, and oppression β’ Working knowledge of nonprofit grant administration, compliance, and auditing helpful, but not required
