📋 Description
• Coordinate the defense of insured physicians in claims management. • Investigate and manage claims. • Provide coverage analysis, assign defense counsel, and negotiate resolutions or issue denials. • Maintain case management and documentation. • Attend meetings, mediations, and trials. • Willingness to travel up to 33% of the time.
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 8 years of claims experience (bodily injury claims experience a plus); OR JD with a minimum of 8 years of claims experience (bodily injury claims experience a plus) and/or medical malpractice defense experience; OR RN or BSN with a minimum of 8 years of clinical experience plus a minimum of 8 years of claims experience. • Must obtain applicable adjusters license(s) by state within three months of start date. • Preferred: 5-10 years of medical malpractice claims and/or medical malpractice defense experience.
