•About Cylinder: Founded in 2021, Cylinder delivers personalized, clinician-backed care for digestive issues. •Position Summary: Seeking an experienced backend software engineer for our digestive platform, collaborating with Data Science for AI integration. •Responsibilities Include: Develop high-quality software, collaborate with engineering team, partner with stakeholders, continuous learning. •You'll be a good fit if you are: A team player, empathetic, security-oriented, comfortable with remote interaction, a self-motivated problem solver. •Desired Qualifications: 4+ years of backend experience, proficiency with Golang, experience with system performance, communication skills, familiarity with GCP, healthcare data, experience in HIPAA environments.

Requirements

•4+ years of demonstrated experience building and implementing backend systems and supporting SaaS solutions •Proficiency with Golang and developing containerized workloads •Experience analyzing and optimizing system performance •Passion for automated testing •Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities with colleagues, business partners, and vendors alike •Bonus: •Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) frameworks, including GKE, IAM (fundamentals), Firebase, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, BigQuery, AI Platform, DLP, or any others •Experience with medical, healthcare and/or population health data. Double bonus for familiarity with OHDSI, FHIR and/or other healthcare data standards •Experience working in a HIPAA regulated environment (or other regulated industry) and supporting data security and privacy controls
