📋 Description
• As a Senior Data Engineer, your primary focus will be to embody a robust data engineering approach to solving client problems and shaping the technology trajectory of projects. • This role is responsible for the success of key data engineering initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives. • Design ETL processes and data platforms to achieve business objectives. • Provide accurate time and resource estimates for complex problems requiring collaboration between data engineers and other teams. • Work with data scientists to ensure access to required data and source new data when needed. • Fully understand project data models, set up automated monitoring for data quality, and resolve architectural bottlenecks. • Contribute to knowledge sharing and collaborate with your manager on your professional development. • Support and mentor junior colleagues, delegating tasks and overseeing execution. • We welcome your leadership ambitions and will actively support your development into a Lead Data Engineer role, where you’ll have the opportunity to coordinate and guide a team.
🎯 Requirements
• Ideally 5+ years of relevant work experience • Advanced programming skills (solid Python) • Expertise in designing cloud architectures and distributed systems • Experience in designing and deploying data platforms • Ability to solve problems in a structured manner, adhering to best practices and company policies • Knowledgeable in more than one of the three major cloud environments • Demonstrated leadership potential, with the vision and drive to become a future leader within the organisation • A mix of cross-border projects and start-up experience is a plus
