β’ Paid Internship: $18/hour β’ Location: U.S. Remote (preference given to candidates in Eastern or Central Time Zones) β’ Hours: 35 hours/week, M-F β’ Start Date/Duration: Starting in May or early June for a period of 12 weeks with the intention/possibility of extending for a maximum assignment of up to 12 months (subject to performance evaluations). β’ Application Deadline: 4/7/25 β’ The ideal candidate must have prior internship experience in one or more of the following, with experience in and a passion for social media a priority: β’ Social/digital media content creation and management, creative storytelling research. β’ Include a resume and cover letter regarding why youβre interested in this position. β’ Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future. β’ The Integrated Communications Intern will work closely with the Vice President, Integrated Communications in a fast-paced environment to help develop and execute external communications strategies to build the GENYOUth brand, attract new brand/corporate partners, and prompt increased social followers and engagement.
β’ Recent graduate from December 2024 or on pace to graduate in May 2025. β’ Minimum overall GPA of 3.0. β’ Effective organizational, research and reporting skills; ability to story-tell and write for different audiences; β’ Savvy with social media (including LinkedIn); β’ Evidence of networking and media relationship-building skills; β’ Digital publishing experience; β’ Proficiency in video shooting and editing (via cell phone and tablets); β’ Graphic capabilities such as Canva; β’ Willing to listen, learn and contribute. β’ Confidence to present/share new ideas and points-of-view to GENYOUth management and team members during weekly staff meetings. β’ Full time work hours (35 hours/week), Monday β Friday. β’ Location flexible due to remote work scenario yet must align work schedule with eastern or central time zones to mesh easily with GENYOUth team.
β’ Interns are not benefits-eligible and do not get paid time off. β’ GENYOUth does not reimburse for travel to/from the internship or provide housing or a stipend. β’ Interns get reimbursed for approved out-of-pocket expenses for flights, lodging and other business expenses related to travel during the internship.
