Description

• Conduct transmission system analysis using PSSE or Powergem TARA • Develop and execute Python scripts to automate and enhance analysis processes • Assist in the modeling, simulation, and evaluation of electrical power systems • Utilize linear sensitivity factors to analyze and optimize power system performance • Perform load flow, transfer and contingency analysis across multiple system operators in the United States • Document and present findings, methodologies, and recommendations to internal teams • Support ongoing projects and initiatives within the transmission analysis group • Other duties as required or assigned

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a PhD in Electrical Power Systems • Hands-on experience with PSSE, TARA or other power flow software • Proficient in Python scripting for automation and data analysis • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Experience with linear sensitivity factors and power flow computation analysis • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities • Completed coursework in fault tolerant power systems, advanced power flow analysis, and power system transactions • Knowledge of power system operations, planning, and reliability standards is a plus
