Description
• Review and ensure accuracy of reports accompanying medical records • Communicate with physician reviewers and their teams • Assess the quality of physician reports • Verify claims support physicians' determinations • Read and apply policy guidelines and healthcare terminology • Provide strong customer service • Manage and provide oversight for complex long-term disability cases • Serve as an additional level of QA for cases with quality issues • Participate in special projects based on business needs
Requirements
• 5+ years of claims experience • Long Term Disability experience • Business experience in a healthcare and/or insurance setting • Must work with a sense of urgency and meet deadlines • Must be self-motivated, with a strong drive for performance excellence • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency in navigating a variety of computer programs • Attention to detail
