📋 Description
• As a Software Engineer III, Backend, you will be joining the Alert Generation & Enrichment engineering team which is part of Dataminr's AI Platform organization. • The team builds cutting-edge distributed platforms that enable dynamic and configurable data ingestion, normalization as well as orchestrate real-time AI processing for hundreds of millions of messages daily. • You will be working on delivering features and toolings written in Java, Scala and Python that further enhance our platform scalability and efficiency as well as support new production use cases. • You will also partner with AI research scientists and engineers to bring innovative, applied AI research into production, at a very large scale.
🎯 Requirements
• 4+ years of experience building back end services and applications • Experience with Java, Scala, Python and/or other object oriented programming languages • Experience working with microservices, distributed systems, real time streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, etc) and databases (Postgres, Redis, Aerospike, etc) • Strong object-oriented design, API design, data modeling, and coding skills • Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms • Proven track record of implementing and following strong engineering practices through hands-on coding • Excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills
