• About Us • Our mission at dataplor is to comprehensively map and understand every commercial location on the planet. • We provide insights on every merchant in the world, covering 350M+ businesses and places, empowering organizations with high-quality location intelligence to drive strategic decision-making. • After more than doubling our revenue last year, we closed a Series B round of funding. • We are excited to grow the team and take this rocketship to the next level! • Role Overview • We’re hiring a Lead Full Stack Engineer with a strong Ruby background and solid DevOps experience to help us build and evolve the internal platform that powers our growing product development team. • This role sits on our internal platform team, focused on developer velocity, infrastructure reliability, system monitoring and insights, and operational excellence. • As a technical leader on a small team (2–3 engineers), you’ll work closely with our Engineering Manager to design systems, lead implementation, and mentor teammates. • You’ll also collaborate with product engineers across the company to deliver tools, infrastructure, and services that enable fast, safe, and scalable development.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment. • Strong experience building and maintaining Ruby applications in production. • Deep familiarity with PostgreSQL—data modeling, query performance, and migrations. • Experience with AWS infrastructure, CI/CD systems, and cloud-native tooling. • Solid knowledge of DevOps principles: automation, observability, scaling, and release management. • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with product engineers, EMs, and leadership. • Passion for building tools that make other engineers more effective and productive.
