Description

• As an Engineering Team Lead at Deel, you'll lead a cross-functional team to meet organizational goals. • 50% management/leadership and 50% technical skills in application design and web development. • Collaborate closely with design and product teams to create extraordinary product experiences.

Requirements

• Expertise in Backend Development: Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript best practices, along with experience in at least one other server-side language. • API Development: Skilled in building APIs, including input validation, JWT tokens, and ensuring security & scalability through queue-based systems. • Database Mastery: You're a SQL guru, particularly with PostgreSQL, handling query optimization, data migrations, and database modeling. • High-Volume Performance: Proven expertise in optimizing systems for large transaction volumes, handling concurrency, idempotency, and performance under load. • Leading small teams whilst being hands-on comes with ease • You have handled at least couple of performance review cycles. • You have hired and grown a team. • You have a true passion for developing user experiences that are nothing short of amazing. • You're hungry to learn, experiment and share knowledge with others, driving innovation every step of the way. • You've navigated the real world of cross-browser, cross-platform and design constraints on the web like a pro. • Automated unit, functional, and integration tests are your bread and butter - you develop and execute them in your sleep.
